Final week, 80 ice dancers and 13 coaches headed to Allen, Texas for the third annual Solo Dance Camp. Hosted by the Dallas Determine Skating Membership, the 2022 version included off ice lessons taught by ISU Championship Dance Choose and Solo Dance Architect and Nationwide Chair John Millier and different ISU and Nationwide Officers. Lessons coated Guidelines Updates, Parts, GOE’s, Psychological Toughness, Conditioning, Intro to Judging, and many others. Sports activities science skilled Peter Zapalo introduced “Creating the Profitable Season” and Olympian Naomi Lang Robust did a wonderful off-ice Musical Expression class which developed super camaraderie amongst our skaters. Randi Robust, motion and dance coach for Olympic skaters together with Davis/White, held off-ice lessons and personal classes. For junior and senior skaters, she targeted on Avenue Dance to organize them for this season’s rhythm dance.
One spotlight for skaters is at all times the chance for a one-on-one session throughout which every skater works solely with a decide and technical panel member.
