My response to the trailer will be tracked by three timestamps — 5 seconds in, I assumed, “Oh god, that is positively his Nic Cage voice.” Thirty seconds later, it was, “Wait, is that this ‘All Star’?” After a minute and a half, I assumed, “Jesus Christ, they’re actually going all the best way.”
The trailer is a profane, absurd and ideal chunk to be a focus for anybody who grew up with Samberg, Smash Mouth, Cage, Indy or all 4 — but, it someway pulls the overwhelming quantity of references and exterior components collectively to make a fascinating and entertaining teaser.
Digman! will premiere on Comedy Central and Paramount+ on March twenty second, and we’ll be watching to see if Samberg severely retains up his Cage voice all the time. If he retains speaking like that, in the end, his voice will get caught that method — god assist his agent if Samberg begins considering like Cage, too.
